Problem #58 EASY
The Password on the Sticky Note
Math Deduction Algebra Scenario
Problem Statement
The Story:
Shweta is an IT security auditor who has just arrived at a small accounting firm in Bengaluru for a routine compliance check. The managing partner, embarrassed, shows her the company server room.
On the wall next to the main server is a sticky note with a password written on it. The previous IT manager (who quit suddenly) left it there along with a cryptic note explaining the logic:
'The password is a 5-digit number. Here is how I remember it: If you reverse the digits, the new number is exactly 9 times smaller than the original number divided by a single-digit prime. The sum of all digits is 20.'
Shweta reads the note twice, shakes her head at the poor security, and then — almost involuntarily — she sits down and starts working out what the number is, because she cannot help herself.
The Challenge:
What is the 5-digit password on the sticky note?
